I adore the challenge of finding ways to create new contemporary jewellery designs out of unusual or discarded items. Jewellery is my passion and almost anything can become an interesting piece.
When I come across an interesting small item my mind immediately begins conjuring up ways to make it into a piece of jewellery. It doesn't matter whether I've discovered an interesting old button, or something valuable. The joy is in showcasing the beauty and wonder that can be found in almost anything that can fit onto a piece of jewellery.
Scanning the dusty shelves of thrift shops or antique stores looking for once loved but now discarded treasures is a passion. The quality of the materials used in days gone by means that with a little imagination (and skill of course) beads, brooches, and rings can be reworked into one-of-a-kind works of wearable art.
